As in Docsvault desktop client interface, you can assign a task to any other Docsvault user and even set personal tasks for yourself.  Any user that has access to Docsvault can be involved in a document workflow.    

 

Users can easily view their tasks, a description of the work to be done, who assigned the task, any notes associated with the task, any attachments and due dates in Tasks Manager.

 

Click on Tasks icon on the top toolbar to open Task Manager.

 

Assigning New Tasks

 

In Task Manager, select Task Out.

Click on the New Task icon to add a task  

Enter task details in Task Properties.
 

Task: Add a short description about the task to be performed

 

Due Date: From the drop-down calendar select due date for the task

Priority: To set a high priority for a task, select 'High' radio button. A high priority task displays an exclamation priorityMarkicon prefixed to the task in the task list.

Associated Documents
 

Click on Add link to attach any documents along with the task.

 

Select a user to whom the task is to be assigned from Task Allocation section.

 

    ALL: Click 'ALL' to list all the users. From the list, select the users to whom the task is to be assigned.

 

     Favorites: Click 'Favorites' to list uses that you communicate most frequently with. From the list, select the member to whom the task is to be

     assigned. You can create and edit the Favorites list by clicking on the Edit link.                    

 

     The right side box will now display the list of users to whom the task is assigned.

 

Click on Save button to save the task.

 

    This task will now appear in the 'Task In' panel of all the users you assigned this task to.

New tasks on documents can also be generated using the file right click context menu and selecting 'Document Tasks...'

Favorite Users list can also be created by using 'Tasks' in 'Options' from 'Tools menu'. For more information, see Options - Tasks in Docsvault desktop client section.

You can configure to open task in a new page on browser from Options > General

 

 

When a task is create it can be enhanced through email notification. This is an ideal way, for example, to inform someone responsible for a purchase department that an invoice needs to be authorized for payment.  For more information on Task email settings, see Alerts in Docsvault desktop client section.

 

 

Setting Personal tasks

 

In Task Manager, select Personal. This will allow you to set personal task.

 

Enter task details in 'Task Properties'.
 

Task: Add a short description about the task to be performed

 

Due Date: From the drop-down calendar select due date for the task

 

Priority: To set a high priority for a task, select 'High' radio button

 

Associated documents
 

Select the 'Associated Documents' check box to expand the New Task dialog box

Click on Add button to attach any documents along with the task.
 

Set task 'Reminder'
If this option is checked a task reminder message box pops up on specified date and time. If outbound emailing has been set on the server side and you are subscribed to email alerts for tasks, reminders will also be email to you.

 

Set 'Task Recurrence Pattern'

Recurring tasks appear one at a time in the task list. When you mark one occurrence of the task as complete, the next occurrence is automatically generated in the list.
 

 

Click on Save button to save the task

 

Tasks with associated documents can also be created from the "Document Tasks" in the right toolbar of the main Docsvault web client. Select any document in the center panel and click on the Tasks icon in the right toolbar to see associated tasks.
