Docsvault allows you to create a password-protected PDF with restrictions for printing and editing, as well as watermarking the PDF before saving or sharing the document.
Apply Password Protection to PDFs
•Select the Document: Navigate to the folder and select the document.
•Open PDF Options: From the toolbar, click PDF Options > Password Protected PDF OR
Right-click the document, click PDF Options > Password Protected PDF
•Enter Password: In the Password to open the PDF field, enter the password required to open the document.
•Apply Restrictions (Optional): Choose one or more of the following options:
oPrinting - Prevent users from printing the PDF
oEditing - Prevent users from editing the PDF
•Add Watermark (Optional): Enable Watermark to apply a watermark to the PDF.
•Choose Output Option:
oClick Email PDF to send password-protected PDF via email
oClick Save As to save the protected PDF
•A new protected PDF is created. Original document remains unchanged.
