The Create PDF Version feature lets you convert an existing image or text-based file (such as Word, Excel, text, CSV, TIFF, or other image formats) into PDF format and save it as a new version of the same document. The original file remains intact, allowing you to easily switch between versions at any time. With Docsvault, you can create high-quality PDFs without the need for any additional software. Converting your documents ensures they are easy to share, maintain their formatting, and display correctly on any device or screen.
Steps to convert a Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or any text and image file to PDF
•Locate the file in Docsvault that you want to convert.
• Right-click and select 'Create PDF Version’
• Docsvault will automatically convert the selected file to PDF file and create a new version.

Manage PDFs with Version Control
PDF Creation & Manipulation is fully integrated within Docsvault system. Work can be done in a native file format of a document and then during document check-in you have the option to save the file in PDF format as the next version.

•If the image file is TIFF and if the OCR TIFF files option is enabled on the server side, the OCR process will automatically convert the newly generated PDF files into searchable PDF files. A searchable PDF document will appear in the search results if any of the search criteria matches its text.
