At times, you might want to change where files are stored in Docsvault. You might even want to move files to a different folder, or make a duplicate copy of it.
Copying and Moving Files and Folders
•Right click on a selected file or folder to open its context menu and then click on Copy or Cut (to move).
•Select the new destination from the tree view.
•Right click and select Paste.
If the file with a same name already exist in the destination location, you will be prompted to create a New Version, Overwrite or Keep Both.
In case of a folder, overwrite option will merge the files of the folders.
When a document is copied or moved to some other location within Docsvault, the profile associated with it and all its corresponding index values will persist. |
To copy and paste files or folder, you must have minimum 'Read' rights on the source folder/cabinet and minimum 'New Version/Check out' rights on the destination folder/cabinet whereas to cut and paste files or folder, you must have minimum rights of 'Overwrite/Delete' on the source folder/cabinet and 'New Version/Check out'' rights on the destination folder/cabinet.
