Getting an error message "Windows cannot find 'RegisterNamespace..." during installation

This happens as one of the new MS update has broken Docsvault installers ability to create proper shortcuts. You will need to run the command prompt as the administrator user and then run the Docsvault Client msi installer using following steps.

  • Run the command prompt (cmd) as an administrator. To do that, type CMD in Start menu or Start screen search box, and then simultaneously press
    Ctrl+Shift+Enter keys OR right click on 'cmd.exe' and click on "Run as administrator" option.
  • If Docsvault client is still installed in a failed state try to uninstall it with the command: msiexec /uninstall "path_to_docsvault_msi"
  • Install it again now with the command: msiexec /i "path_to_docsvault_msi"
  • In the installation dialog ensure that the default value of 'Install for' is selected to "Just me" and NOT "Everyone"

This should install the product again and should put a desktop icon for the program.
