Save your documents directly from your Office applications without any extra steps. Administrators can enable the option to override the default Save button in Office applications if desired.
Saving and Profiling Files
•Create or Edit a Document: Open your desired document in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
•Save the Document:
oSave: Click the "Save" icon from the top toolbar or go to File > Docsvault Save.
oSave as a different File: Go to File > Docsvault Save As.
•Profile Your Document: The Docsvault Import dialog will appear, allowing you to:
oSelect a destination folder in Docsvault.
oChoose a profile and fill in necessary index fields (description, notes, etc.).
oClick "Import" to save the document.
Enabling the Feature:
To enable this feature, your administrator must configure the MS Office Integration settings in the Docsvault Server Manager. This configuration will:
•Override default "Save" button... The standard Microsoft Office save dialog will be replaced with the Docsvault Import dialog.
•Prevent Users from saving to their local computers: Users will be forced to save documents directly to Docsvault, preventing local storage.
