Data Files Storage
All files and meta data storage is handled by the SQL server. It is recommended that you use a separate hard drive (or a separate drive letter if you cannot spare a dedicated disk) to store your data.
If you let Docsvault install the SQL server express instance:
The data is stored under a folder named “DVSB Data” at a location that you specify during the initial configuration. The “DVSB Data” folder consists of the following:
- “DB” folder containing the SQL database files
- “DVFStream” folder containing the actual files imported into the system.
If you use your own SQL server for data storage:
The imported files will be stored in a folder named “DVFStream” on the same location as the database file for Docsvault.
