You can use the Docsvault Desktop Client to compare the content of two documents or different versions of the same document.

Supported File Formats
The compared documents must be in one of the following formats:
•DOC, DOCX, ODT, WPD, etc. (Word Processor Formats)
•XLS, XLSX, CSV. ODS, etc. (Spreadsheet Formats)
•RTF, TXT (Text Formats)
Methods of Document Comparison
Docsvault Desktop Client offers two primary methods for comparing documents:
Comparing Different Versions of a Document
This method allows you to identify changes between the latest version of a document and a previous version.
•Locate the Document: Navigate to the folder containing the document you want to compare.
•Right-Click for Comparison: Right-click on the desired document.
•Select "Compare": From the context menu, choose the Compare option.
•Choose the Version to Compare With: A list of available versions will appear. Select the version you want to compare against the current one.
•View the Comparison: Docsvault will open a comparison document in the native application to display the changes.
oFor Excel files, cell-level differences will be highlighted.
•Navigate the Comparison: Use the viewer's navigation tools to review the changes.
•Save or Export (Optional):
oTo save a copy of the comparison in PDF format, use the Print > Docsvault PDF.
oTo save a copy within the Docsvault system, use the "Save to Docsvault" option.
oTo save the comparison, use the "Save as" to Docsvault option
Comparing Two Different Documents of the Same Type
This method displays differences between two separate documents of the same file type stored in Docsvault.
•Locate the Document: Navigate to the folder containing the first document.
•Right-Click for Comparison: Right-click on the selected document.
•Select "Compare": From the context menu, choose the "Compare" option.
•Browse for the Second Document: Select the document you want to compare against the first one.
•View the Comparison: Docsvault opens a comparison viewer in the native application, highlighting the differences between the two documents.
•Navigate the Comparison: Use the viewer's navigation tools to examine the differences.
•Save or Export (Optional): To save a copy of the comparison in PDF or DOCX, or XLSX format, use the commands Print to Docsvault PDF or Save to Docsvault.
By following these steps, you can efficiently compare documents and track changes within the Docsvault Desktop Client.
