Copying and Moving

You can easily copy and move documents within your system to organize your files effectively.
To copy a document
Copy:
•Select files or folders you want to copy.
oEdit Menu: Go to the Edit menu and select Copy.
oToolbar: click on Copy icon.
Paste:
•Use the tree view to select the desired destination folder.
oEdit Menu: Go to the Edit menu and select Paste.
oToolbar: click on Paste icon.
•When creating a new version of documents while pasting, the version notes, document notes, and profile of the current document are overwritten with those of the new document being pasted.

•To copy and paste files or folder, you must have minimum 'Read' rights on the source location and minimum 'New Version/Check out' rights on the destination location. •To cut and paste files or folder, you must have minimum rights of 'Overwrite/Delete' on the source location and 'New Version/Check out'' rights on the destination location.

To move documents
Move:
•Select files or folders you want to move.
oEdit Menu: Go to the Edit menu and select Cut.
oToolbar: click on Cut icon.
Paste:
•Use the tree view to select the desired destination folder.
oEdit Menu: Go to the Edit menu and select Paste.
oToolbar: click on Paste icon.
This operation can also be performed by simple click and drag method.
•Document Versions: When moving a document, all versions of the document will be moved to the destination location. •Profile: When moving documents between folders with mismatching available profiles. Documents will take their profile with them irrespective of the available profile settings at destination folder.
