Editing a Folder Properties

 

Each Docsvault folder can have its own set of properties. By default, Profile properties is inherited from its parent folder.  A parent folder is the cabinet/folder directly above it in the hierarchy.  You can break an inheritance chain at any level.

 

For example:

Neil, at a later date wants to add predefined Deletes and Exports audit template for the Legal and its sub folders.

 

 

 

 

Assigning Audit Trial using 'From Template'

Select the folder and then right click to bring up the popup menu Or

   From the Edit menu select Properties.

Click on Audit  tab in Properties dialog box to get the list of events with a check box adjacent to it.
Click the radio button next to From Template option. This will list the predefined Audit Templates, select any one of the template to apply the preset settings.
Select 'Inherit these vales for sub folders and files' to apply the changes to the sub folders and files.
Click on Apply to make the appropriate changes.
Click on OK to close the window.
