To create an instant backup on local or network drive, follow these steps:
| 1. | From the menu click on File >> Backup/Restore |
This will pop up the Backup/Restore Wizard window
Click on the check box labeled Backup documents repository and click on the Next button
2. This will open the next wizard window.
| • | Default Backup name of the backup file will be a combination of the term "Docsvault Backup" and that instant's date and time. You can have a different name if you want to. |
| • | By default, Local or network location option is selected. If not selected then select this option. |
| • | Select a backup location on local or network drive by clicking on the Browse button. |
| • | If you want the backup to be splitted then select Split backup in to multiple files sizes option and then from the dropdown list select a suitable size. |
| • | If you do not want split-backup then keep the splitting option unselected. Now click on the Next button to get the next window of the Wizard |
| 3. | By default Backup Now option is selected. If not selected then select it and click on Start button |
| 4. | Backup operation will start and on completion you will be displayed a "completion message". You can now click on the Close button |
