Creating Password Recovery Disk

The master password revovery disk can be created in two ways:

First time login:

Create recovery disk when you create the master password for the first time after installation. For this, refer to Creating Master Password section.

From Preferences panel:

Create recovery disk by opening the Preferences window for safevault.

1. For this you have two options:

Either Click on Advanced Options in security panel

OR From the menu select and click Edit >> Preferences and then select Safevault from the Preferences window

3. If you are not logged in Safevault then you are asked to enter the master password

4. On entering the password, you are asked to select the media and location to create the recovery disk

5. On selecting the location and media, click on the Create button

6. This will initiate the recovery disk creation process

Safevault has a very robust security system. In case you forget the master password, Docsvault provides you with three options to recover it:

1. Answer the security question

2. Retrieve from the recovery disk

3. Password List Report
