User accounts are created by the Admin or the members of Administrators group.
Your user account is what identifies you both to the system and to other users. It allows you to perform tasks such as creating folders, documents, editing existing documents, check documents in, etc. as governed by your security profiles.
Adding a new User
| • | Select User/Group Tab in Docsvault Server Application dialog box. |
| • | Click on the User tab. The tab will display a list of existing users. |
| • | Click the New button on the User tab. The New User window will appear. |
| • | Fill up the personal and login information of the user. |
| • | From the Group list, select the Group(s) you wish to assign to the user. |

Creating a User

Note:
| • | By default all users are grouped under 'Users' group. |
| • | User Name can be alphanumeric and is not case-sensitive. Passwords are case-sensitive. |

Editing a User
| • | Select User/Group Tab in Docsvault Server Application dialog box. |
| • | Select the User whose password you want to change. |
| • | The Edit User pop-up window will be displayed |
| • | Click on the Change Password button, a Reset Password window will be displayed. |
| • | Enter the New password, and then enter the new password again in the Confirm Password. |
| • | Click on OK to change the password. |
| • | Click on the Save button to update the changes. |

Editing a User

Note:
| • | You must make sure that the no changes are made to users and groups while the users are logged into Docsvault. |

Delete a User
| • | Select User/Group Tab in Docsvault Server Application dialog box. |
| • | Click on the User tab. The tab will display a list of existing users. |
| • | Select the User to delete. |
| • | Click on the Delete button. |
| • | After confirmation click on Yes button. |
Note:
| • | You must make sure that no changes are made to users and groups while the users are logged into Docsvault.

Warning:
| • | If a username is deleted all of its rights will be removed. An administrator will not be able to reestablish those permissions by adding the same user again.
|

Important:
| • | If a user is deleted, Docsvault will warn you if he owns any folder, documents or tasks. All the tasks assign by the user will also be deleted and the ownership of all his or her files and folders will be by default assigned to the Admin.
